Though the official year had come to an end, a few Partners for Possibly (PfP) projects for 2020 were placed on hold due to strict lockdown. Talent Manager Michelle Ward oversaw the completion of these projects at the end of 2020, ensuring that Bestmed’s PfP partner Mamelodi East Prevocational School has optimally functioning classrooms, as well as a multipurpose sports field.

In these unprecedented times, Bestmed Medical Scheme understands that many South Africans are experiencing the pressure of a decreased household income, or even lack thereof. The Scheme, therefore, recognises the need to assist members of the community who are struggling financially during South Africa’s COVID-19 lockdown. Therefore, funds were made available to contribute towards COVID-19 relief efforts.
During COVID-19 lockdown, Bestmed’s sponsored entities have taken the initiative to help those in need, as well as encourage continued healthy lifestyles within their own teams. Sponsorships involved include Bestmed Road Rangers, Tshwane Classic, The Bicycle Company and Team Bestmed.
