As part of our sponsorship programme, Bestmed is sponsoring Miyanda Maseti’s dream of becoming the first black South African girl to make it to the final round of the BMX World Racing Championships.
Although, Miyanda has only been in BMX racing for 4 years, this is not her 1st rodeo. At just 13 years old Miyanda is a National BMX champion, SA BMX champion with Junior Protea Colours and has been to the World BMX Racing Championships not once, but twice. In her 1st world championship run in Rockhill, USA, she made it to the quarter finals. She was again selected to represent South Africa at the 2018 BMX World Champs in Baku, Azerbaijan where she elevated to the semi-finals. This year, she has again been selected to represent South Africa at the BMX World Championships in Zolder, Belgium from 23 – 27 July 2019, and Bestmed is supporting her dream providing funding for her flight and accommodation in Belgium.
We are rooting for this amazing young lady to make it to the finals this year!
